Meet Pops 💚

Pops is a presumed male Blue-fronted Amazon, approx 20years of age who has a huge personality and a lot of soul. He is looking for a calm, quiet home with a female primary caregiver. He would be best suited to a home without cats or dogs, and older, calm children may be considered.

Pops is a hands-off bird and will need someone who understands that trust takes time. With patience and consistency, he will accept gentle head scratches through his cage doors, take food from your hand and even choose toys from your hand. He doesn’t fly, but he enjoys his food, loves attention in his own way, and never seems to tire of being told what a handsome boy he is!

One of the special things about Pops is the effect he has on the other birds. The birds in the shop are naturally drawn to him and can often be seen gravitating towards his aviary just to sit near him. He really is a bird with a special presence, and it’s very easy to fall in love with him.

Pops came to us following a bereavement and has now been with us for some time. We want to make sure his next home is the right one, so we encourage potential adopters to come and meet him several times before making a decision. A home check is mandatory.

Pops is looking for a home environment rather than an aviary setting, so please note that he will not be rehomed to an aviary.

Meet Enzo 💚

Enzo is a presumed male, young conure with a big personality and an endless supply of energy!

He can take a little while to build trust and is typically quite nippy, so he will need an adopter who is patient, consistent and willing to give him the time he needs to learn that hands and people can be positive things.

We feel Enzo has great potential to become a wonderful companion bird, although he could also be well suited to aviary life. If he is rehomed as a companion, we would recommend that he is housed as a single bird initially, giving him the opportunity to build a strong bond with his person while learning boundaries and developing good habits.

Enzo is very food motivated, which is likely to be the perfect bridge into training. With patience, positive reinforcement and plenty of tasty rewards, we believe he has plenty of potential to make fantastic progress.

He is an energetic, entertaining little character who will need someone prepared to work with his personality rather than rush him. For the right person, Enzo could be a very rewarding bird to build a relationship with.
